In 1995, Gianni launches the perfume "Blonde" inspired by sister Donatella. The perfume contained notes such as ylang ylang, neroli, voil, bergamot, musk and tuberose which all still, to this day, are a big part of the aromas of Versace perfumes. Versace still has, today, a sea of ​​skilled perfumers. Some of the most used are Antoine Lie, Alberto Morillas, Natalie Lorson, Jean-Pierre Bethouart and Nathalie Feisthauer.

History

Versace was founded in Milan in 1978, by fashion designer Gianni Versace. He was a renowned designer and in his time has designed clothes for a lot of celebrities like Madonna, Princess Diana, Elton John and many more. Gianni won i.a. the prestigious awards such as L'occhio D'oros and American Fashion Oscar. He was tragically murdered at his Miami home, and in 1997, sister Donatella Versace took over his brother's fashion empire. Already 1.5 years later, Donatella staged her first fashion show. The fashion house, designs clothes and accessories inspired by pop art and classical Greek and Roman architecture. Hence their logo, Medusa. In collaboration with EuroItalia, the fashion house started, in 1981, producing perfumes and aftershaves. The brand is considered to be a luxurious world-renowned brand

Design

As well as the distinctive features of Versace's clothing and accessories, the design of the perfume bottles is a high priority. The bottles are beautiful and they have some things that in each of their line go again. You often see their Medusa logo on the bottle, and on some of the slightly newer lines like the Diamond series, the bottle always has a large diamond-shaped lid. Today, Versace has well over 50 perfumes in their range.
