The brand was founded in 1999 by Toni Ko, who had a vision to create luxurious quality makeup at affordable prices.

Nyx cosmetics quickly grew big, and quickly gained a place in the hearts of many bloggers and other influencers. The brand therefore became super well known through social media and Youtube where several vloggers also swear by the wonderful brand.

In 2014, the brand was sold to the big L'Oreal house, and is now on the shelves in even more countries so that even more beauty lovers can enjoy the amazing products.

NYX is a cruelty-free (not tested on animals) brand that has been a member of PETA's Beauty Without Bunnies since 2010.
