Which foundation should I choose?

First of all, it is important to determine your skin tone. If you are dark-colored (for example, with dark brown or black hair and brown or green eyes), you should probably choose makeup with yellowish tones. These often have “honey” or “sand” in the name. If you're a fair person with light hair and hazel, gray, or blue eyes, you'll probably want to go for makeup with pink undertones. “Natural rose” or “Rose beige” are often in the name.
Next, you need to find the right shade of foundation. A foundation should blend with your natural skin tone and thus even out your face. As a test, you can try out 3 different shades on your own cheek - if possible, you should then see in daylight whether one of the 3 variants is invisible; this is then the right shade for you.

Which type of foundation should I choose?

There are different types of foundation that can be used depending on your skin type and preference. Whether liquid, compact, stick form or cushion, it depends on your skin and what you like best.

Liquid foundation

The liquid foundation is the classic product in the foundation category. They come in a variety of textures, from light to heavy coverage. It can be applied with fingers, brushes or sponges. There is a suitable product for every skin type.

BB & CC cream

They used to be called tinted day cream. Today they are called “Blemish Balms (BB)” or “Color Correctors (CC)”. A light coverage product for everyday use.

Foundation stick

A stick-form foundation with a creamy texture. You apply the foundation with the pencil and then work it in with your fingers or a sponge. A practical product for on the go.

Cushion foundation

A liquid foundation stored in a bubble pillow and packaged in a container. You can easily apply the foundation with the included puff.

Mineral powder foundation

A mineral powder is often a loose powder that is silky-soft to apply. The powders only contain minerals, no chemicals or fragrances, making them particularly suitable for sensitive skin.

Powder foundation

A practical medium coverage foundation in powder form. It can be applied with a brush or a tassel. Practical for on the go and for freshening up throughout the day.

What is contouring?

Contouring means emphasizing or diminishing the facial contours with dark and light accents. A make-up trend that even the professionals work with.
