Frenchman GUY LAROCHE began his career in fashion in 1949 when he started working for Jean Desses. After a trip to the United States to learn new ready-to-wear techniques, he opened his own shop at 37 Roosevelt Avenue in Paris in 1956. In 1966, Guy Laroche presented his first fragrance, Fiji. He later launched Drakkar Noir, his perfume for men.
