Eau de Cologne, Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum or Parfum? What is the difference?

Eau de Cologne: The lightest scent. It contains 3-5% fragrance. It is often a refreshing scent that can be refreshed several times a day

Eau de Toilette: The everyday perfume. With 6-8% fragrance, these perfumes are not too heavy and overpowering.

Eau de Parfum: The long-lasting fragrance. At 8-12%, an Eau de Parfum is more pronounced and therefore lasts longer.

Perfume: The real perfume. With up to 40% fragrance, these perfumes are often precious. A small dab is enough here.

Whether floral, fresh, bitter or oriental depends on your personality and the occasion. There is a huge selection of perfumes today so you are sure to find your next favorite scent.

Tips & Tricks

A scent develops best when you apply it to warm, well-circulated areas of the body, such as the wrists, neck or elbows. If you would like to feel enveloped in the scent, spray into the air once or twice and then step “under” the cloud of scent. If you don't want to apply the perfume directly to the skin, you can spray it into your hair or onto clothing.

Proper storage is also important to ensure you get the most out of your perfume. It is important to store the perfume in a cool and dark place because contact with light and air can change the perfume over time. Once opened, a perfume should be used within approximately 2 years.
