What do the numbers on hair colour mean?
When talking about hair colour numbers, we look at the pitch. Here the numbers are given from 1-10. This scale means that 1 = black and 10 = super blonde. There are a few brands on the market where their colour scale goes to 12. These last two pitches are plantin blonde, which is basically white.
Note that the pitch is the first number in the colour code that you see.
If you want to change the shade of your hair colour, you can just use a rinse-out colour. A rinsing colour stays in the top layer of the hair, but can also provide care. The advantage is that you rinse out the colour when you wash your hair.
If, on the other hand, you need to change your hair 1-2 tones, you can change it with a toning colour.
Please note that if you need to make a change that goes beyond 3 tones, you can use a permanent hair colour.
However, if you want to make a drastic change to your pitch, which is 4 or higher, you should let a professional do it. You risk that it can go very wrong. Below you can see the different hair colours we offer at BEAUTYCOS.
