As with any heat styling procedure, begin styling with clean, dry hair. Hair should be treated with a heat protection product and dried completely before using a heated device. Remember that the high heat of the crepe iron will quickly bring any water left in and on the hair to a boil. If your hair is not completely dry when ironing, damage to the hair structure may occur.
