For most skin types, the transition from heat and sun to rain and cold can cause some problems. It’s really just skin reminding us that we need to change our routine a little. Check out this post to learn how to “reset” skin so it’s ready for winter.

Consider changing your skincare products

The skin’s own barriers are put to the test when temperatures drop. To avoid red, irritated cheeks and extreme dryness, you can add a few skincare products to your current routine or swap out some of your products if the “pots” are empty anyway.

As always, the skin needs to be cleansed, but if the skin is very dehydrated, you might consider switching to a product that is gentler, more nourishing and caring. Always remember to use a toner afterward to remove water from the skin and keep the skin’s pH balanced.

Inspiration for winter skin care products

The first product to spread after cleansing the skin is a serum or a facial oil. In many cases, both products are ideal to use individually or together if the skin is dry and prone to flaking.

After spreading the serum and/or oil on the skin, the next step is a day and night cream. It is always a good idea to use sun protection during the day despite the gray and cold weather. The sun’s rays are constant. For those of you who are fighting against pigment spots during this period, it is especially important to use sunscreen during the day.

At night, on the other hand, the use of sunscreen is prohibited and here, instead, a cream must be used that can help the skin to repair and regenerate itself. That is, it must be a cream that contains something good: it must strengthen the skin, make it more resistant and help keep the natural skin barriers intact.

Peeling

Peeling is for me one of the most important elements for healthy and beautiful skin. If you continuously peel the skin, it absorbs your care products MUCH MUCH better. This means that you usually have to use both serum and cream in smaller quantities. In addition, the skin surface becomes more even and smoother and the skin’s appearance improves. This is If you suffer from hyperpigmentation, peeling is indispensable. You can read more about peeling in this blog post.

Mask

Face masks come in all kinds of shapes and with many different properties. In the autumn and winter months, the skin is usually more exposed and the natural protective barrier is more stressed. Therefore, it makes sense to use a caring and nourishing mask 1-2 times a week. For optimal effect, it is optimal to use your mask immediately after peeling.

At BEAUTYCOS you can always turn to qualified specialists who will guide you in the use of your products and match skin care products to your skin type and condition.
