We are rapidly approaching autumn. This is clearly noticeable in the fact that the temperature has dropped and skin and hair appear drier and more brittle. Hair is also becoming more and more static.
It can be quite annoying to have dry, frizzy and frizzy hair, but there are actually solutions and advice for this. Here are my best tips for do’s and don’ts to avoid unruly hair.
To Do´s:
- If you blow-dry your hair after washing, check if your hairdryer has ionic technology. This helps reduce static hair. Always remember to use heat protection.
- Moisturizing and anti-frizz hair products reduce static. Make sure to fill your hair with plenty of moisture in the form of shampoo, conditioner, hair mask, oil, serum and other care products. This also reduces flyaways and static.
- Complete your hair care routine with a leave-in product that controls your dry lengths on days when you don’t wash your hair. It can be either a leave-in spray conditioner, a leave-in cream or an anti-frizz spray.
Don´ts:
- Knitwear is your worst enemy. It contributes to static electricity in your hair, so consider your clothing choices or use fabric softener when washing.
- Rubbing your hair in a towel after washing creates static electricity. Instead, squeeze the water out of your hair after washing.
- Using heat devices dries out your hair, so pay special attention to care and heat protection when using a hair dryer or styler.
Lots of moisture
Almost all brands make a moisturizing version of a shampoo/conditioner. The idea here is to find a brand that makes a range that is also specifically suited to your hair type. Some brands make products specifically for dry hair, for example Hair Doctor. Among other things, they make their hairspray with argan oil, which is a huge advantage because you get both hold and a bit of moisture and care without making your hair greasy.
Other brands make products that are better suited to thick hair, such as Moroccan Oil.
TIP:
Use a steel comb, a brush with metal or a special “antistatic” brush. This also reduces static electricity in the hair.
My favorite products against static hair:
MARIA NILA Repair Masque
With this hair mask you will get a lot of moisture and can say goodbye to frizzy, static and unruly hair. You will notice that the hair becomes more nourished and feels softer. The mask is both regenerating and smoothing so you can avoid frizzy, dry and damaged hair. Find it here >>>

KMS Moistrepair Revival Cream
This leave-in conditioner is a nourishing care product that rebuilds damaged, dry and unruly hair. The care products penetrate deep into the hair roots and provide plenty of moisture. The ultra-light texture does not weigh down and is not noticeable in the hair. You can therefore easily use this before your favorite styling products. Click here to go to the product
