Balance your blood sugar

If you start the day well, it is easier to maintain a healthy figure for the rest of the day. That is why it is important to eat a sensible breakfast that ensures stable blood sugar levels so that you do not feel like snacking and “sinning” all day. This makes it easier to choose sensible meals and snacks when your blood sugar levels are stable and you are not riding back and forth on a rollercoaster of sugar shock and exhaustion.

A healthy and blood sugar-stable breakfast can consist of eggs or porridge, for example, with some vegetables or a bit of fruit. Chia pudding is all the rage at the moment and there are several good reasons for this.

  • Place the porridge mixture in the fridge overnight.
  • Stir the porridge (with a little vanilla powder if necessary) and decorate with your favorite topping.

You can top the porridge with berries and nuts. Or you can also sprinkle some groats or muesli on top to make it extra filling and healthy

Many of us spend several hours a day sitting down or with limited mobility. And it’s tempting to sink into the sofa when we finally have a break from the daily grind.

But try to get some exercise every day. Be it a walk, a run, a few exercises on the living room floor (yoga, stretching or tool exercises) or something similar.

Tip: It’s often easier to incorporate movement and exercise into your daily routine. For example, you can walk down and shop instead of driving. Or get off a stop or two earlier than usual so you can walk home instead. Find ways to exercise that fit into your life.

The ideal would of course be to go to the gym once or several times a week, but even that can be a major inconvenience – or almost a blockage – for many. Forget “training perfectly” and instead focus on “little but good”.
