Keep in mind that you'll have to live with your skin for the rest of your life. Take care of it and soak in with a good sunscreen.

As a rule, you have to apply SPF 30 in the face, as soon as the sun is out, no matter what season it is, then your skin is protected and you avoid aging. This also applies to those days when you do not sunbathe. A ride to and from work on the bike will damage your skin more than you think if you do not have a protective factor.

You may also prefer makeup with SPF (sun protection factor), thus not saying that it can replace a day cream with factor 30 or a sunscreen, but it's the small things that count in the end when you need to take care of your skin.

We've made a guide to show you when it's extra important to use sunscreen so you're always on the safe side.

UV index: 0-3

is the UV index this is sunscreen immediately not necessary unless you have incredibly light skin.

UV Index: 3-6

Use at least factor 15 (preferably waterproof) and stay as far as possible in the shade between kl. 12-15

UV Index: 6-8

Use at least factor 30 (preferably waterproof) Stay in the shade between kl. 12-15

UV Index: 8-10

Use at least factor 30 (preferably waterproof) and preferably a higher factor. Stay inside between kl. 12-15 and stay in the shade if you are out for the rest of the day

UV Index: 10+

Apply factor 50 (preferably waterproof) and stay inside between kl. 12-15 stay in the shadow for the rest of the day if you have to be out.

To check the UV index, you can download an app that measures the intensity. We usually are bad enough to spread sunscreen on ourselves, the amount of sunscreen is too small and we don't do it enough. When you'resunbathing you should spread a good handful of sunscreen to the whole body.

You must smear the sunscreen to the skin at least every second hour and every time after you've been in the water or sweat a lot.
