What is cellulite?

Cellulite or orange peel skin is fat that has accumulated and changes the structure of the skin. The fat is encapsulated in small cavities between the muscles and the epidermis. As we age, the connective tissue becomes stiffer and begins to contract, creating small depressions in the skin that we call orange peel skin. We can prevent and combat orange peel skin through exercise, a healthy diet and the use of one of the various anti-cellulite products.

Dry brushing against cellulite

Using a dry brush is generally one of the best things you can do for your skin. Not only does it fight cellulite, it also helps the body get rid of toxins, increases blood circulation, promotes digestion and keeps the skin in shape. The Organic Pharmacy’s delicious skin brush with natural bristles is a good dry brush that effectively and gently exfoliates the skin. It also optimizes the skin’s absorption of any care products and in this case your anti-cellulite products.

What is dry brushing?

Dry brushing is an ancient method used in conjunction with beauty treatments and massages. With the dry brush, you brush over the skin and remove dead skin cells, stimulate circulation and cleanse the skin of toxins. Dry brushing stimulates circulation to the fat cells that cause bumps in your skin – especially on the buttocks, stomach and thighs.

How to use:

If you want to see results, we recommend that you dry brush every day, but don’t expect results until after 3 months. A good habit is to make dry brushing part of your morning routine before showering. This way, you can easily wash off the dead skin cells and start the day feeling fresh. Use the brush on dry skin and brush in small circular movements from bottom to top towards the heart, except for the back, where you should brush downwards towards the lower back. If you need to use the brush on your stomach, it is recommended to brush in a clockwise direction. This stimulates digestion. Brush for about 5 min – 10 min daily for best results. Avoid brushing eczema, varicose veins and bruises.

Dermaroller

A dermaroller consists of many small needles that must be gently rolled over the skin. The technology is called micro-needling and gives your skin a smoother surface. The method is also used to improve pigment damage, scars, rough skin texture, signs of aging such as wrinkles and lines, etc. The method creates controlled micro holes in the skin to stimulate cell formation and the skin’s natural regeneration. This leads to an even skin tone, improved elasticity and collagen production.

Dermaroller for the body

In addition to reducing cellulite, a body roller also combats scar tissue, sun damage, pigmentation disorders, wrinkles and sagging skin.

We recommend the DM Skincare Dermaroller for the body, which is easy to use on the body and feels comfortable in the hand while you roll it on the skin.

Application

Always make sure to disinfect your dermaroller before and after use. Use the dermaroller on clean and dry skin for about 1 minute. after disinfection. Use the dermaroller systematically from top to bottom and from bottom to top. Remember to lift it when you change direction. Hold the dermaroller lightly and guide it gently over the skin. After treatment, you should use a moisturizer. Be careful not to roll the dermaroller over irritated skin or areas where you can see obvious blood clots.

NOTE! Cellulite (orange peel skin) has often been confused with cellulitis. The former (cellulite) is a cosmetic term for the accumulation of fatty deposits in the skin, while cellulitis is a bacterial infection of the skin.
